Friday 7 and Saturday 8 August, Kryptonite Radio Theater returns to Greek myth - encouraged, frankly, by how well the recent film adaptation of our 2025 Odyssey has been doing.

The strongest man who ever lived is handed twelve impossible tasks, no useful advice, and an audience of gods enjoying this far more than they should be.

In it: a hero with the physical capability of a small army and the planning instincts of a Labrador. A goddess conducting three thousand years of vengeance at a volume the target never once picks up. A King of Mycenae who runs the whole operation from inside a large buried jar and would rather not be disturbed. A narrator who is deeply, personally offended.

And songs. There was never really a chance there would not be songs.

Live radio theatre, in English. No set, no visuals, everything built out of voices and live sound effects - which is doing several of the monsters a considerable favour. We have been doing this in Wiesbaden since 2010 and nobody has yet stopped us.
